Job Type/Status: Full-Time
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative supervision of program staff, students, and volunteers. May supervise Program Coordinators.
- Ensures the continuing training and development of program staff.
- Regularly schedules meetings with program staff to discuss plans, address potential problems, and assess program functioning.
- Coordinates program activities with appropriate liaison agencies to ensure constructive collaboration.
- Develops and promotes relationships with other social service agencies and represents the program and agency in the community.
- Performs administrative functions including the completion of regular reports in a timely manner as required by funding sources and the Agency.
- Provides leadership to staff, promotes a sense of agency among co-workers and staff, and communicates in ways that support the agency's mission and values.
- Contributes to the overall development of the Agency.
- Is responsible for oversight of the program.
- Leads treatment teams and facilitates coordination between all disciplines within the facility (Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Nurse, Senior and Support Counselors, Therapists, Allied Therapists, and consultants).
- Ensures that all activities are in compliance with treatment plans.
- Participates in all debriefing and review of critical incidents activities.
- Provides administrative supervision of counseling staff.
- Recruits and supervises House Managers and Support Counseling staff for 15 youth.
- Provides in-service training in areas needing strengthening.
- On-call 24 hours for backup.
- Conducts staff evaluations.
- May provide psychoeducation and other direct service activities as needed.
- Conducts Meet and Greets and admissions.
- Addresses grievances of clients, family members, staff, or other involved persons.
- Handles on-call responsibilities of administrator-on-call/intake pager (coordinates all with DCP&P- CSOC and backup Senior Counselors in case of crisis).
- Responsible for administrative management of the program.
- Ensures required documentation is secured for billing or other purposes.
- Develops, updates, and trains staff in all personnel policies and procedures in compliance with regulating requirements of DCP&P, CSOC, and COA.
- With staff, youth, and family input, develops and revises parent and resident handbooks to reflect best practices.
- Any other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's in a Human Services field, with a minimum of 3 years of equivalent experience with youth OR a Bachelor's with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with youth.
- At least ten years of experience in the field, five of which have been in a supervisory role.
- Experience with youth and families, preferably in a residential setting.
- Nurtured Heart Approach, Structural Family Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care training and implementation.
