Job summary

BronxWorks is seeking a senior program leader to manage a multi-service facility in New York City. You will oversee operations, security, and crisis response while directing HR functions and program policy development.

The role emphasizes fundraising activity, proposal writing, and data-driven budget management to support diverse family services across multiple program components.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work or mental health with LMSW/LMHC license.
  • Minimum 3–5 years supervisory and contract management experience.
  • Experience working with governmental agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure facility is maintained, sanitary, and regulatory compliant.
  • Supervise operations staff and 24-hour security, fire safety, crisis intervention, and communications.
  • Manage on-site human resources functions including hiring, evaluation, supervision, training, and termination.
  • Plan, develop and implement program policy for the facility.
  • Participate in fundraising activities and coordinate proposal writing.
  • Develop and implement new program components as needed.
  • Manage collection and presentation of clients, administrative, and program data.
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
  • Represent agency at interagency meetings.
  • Perform additional duties assigned.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Master\'s degree in social work or Mental Health and a LMSW or LMHC license.
  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years supervisory and contract management experience
  • Experience working with governmental agencies
  • Extensive experience working with multi-problem families
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct home visits and/or fieldwork.
  • Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
  • Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.
  • Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
