The role involves overseeing program operations, business development, and media engagement in a flexible and inclusive work environment aimed at promoting renewable energy. Candidates should have experience in program management and a commitment to diversity.
Job Description
Our energy system is on the brink of a major transformation, and we're looking for someone to help us ensure this new system puts rooftop solar energy at the forefront!
Solar United Neighbors (SUN) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that started more than 15 years ago with a simple question. "Mom, can we go solar?" Since then, we've helped tens of thousands of people benefit from solar energy. We are dedicated to creating a clean, equitable, resilient energy system that benefits everyone — by helping people go solar, join together, and fight for their energy rights.
The Switch Together Partner Director will be responsible for ensuring the success of Switch Together programs in their assigned region, while also supporting the strategic growth and direction of the overall Switch Together joint initiative with iChoosr. This role will lead across three key areas: Program Operations, Business Development, Program Building and Expansion, and Media Engagement.
In Program Operations, the Director will provide support and guidance to State Directors (SDs), ensuring operational excellence and program success. They will also lead efforts in Program Building and Expansion, growing the network and increasing solar adoption. Additionally, they will oversee Media Engagement strategies to enhance program visibility. This position reports to the VP or Director of Go Solar Programs and collaborates closely with the Go Solar lead for Switch Together programming.
