Job Description

The Technical Program Director is responsible for leading and executing core Pharmacy Distribution initiatives in support of one or more of Prime Therapeutics Pharmacy Distribution segment.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Business Requirements activities, gathering, documenting, and translating stakeholder needs and business goals into traceable and actionable requirements for the implementation vendor and/or internal project team

  • Vendor collaboration efforts, acting as the main point of contact between our organization and the SaaS provider

  • Participate in product demos, roadmap discussions, and feedback sessions with the vendor

  • Guide the setup, configuration, and customization of the specialty and home delivery pharmacy and telephony platforms to fit operational workflow; ensure the solution aligns with business processes and compliance requirements

  • Define test scenarios and coordinate UAT with end users; validate that the delivered solution meets expectations prior to go-live

  • Triage and escalate bugs, outages, or performance issues to the vendor; coordinate with internal IT or support teams as needed

  • Partner with the Vendor and/or Pharmacy Distribution Training to develop and/or coordinate training materials and sessions for end users, supporting adoption efforts and gathering feedback for continuous improvement

  • Track usage, user satisfaction, and Return on Investment metrics to assist with identifying opportunities for optimization or additional features

  • Provide feedback and feature requests to the vendor based on user needs and advocate for enhancements that align with Pharmacy Distribution strategic goals

  • Responsible for the execution of operational plans for a complex set of programs and critical initiatives related to assigned market or line of service and for maintaining alignment and identifying interdependencies between all program level work efforts

  • Collaborate with various business units, cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure the timely, accurate and on budget implementation of Pharmacy Distribution strategies

  • Manage products/programs and implement tools/enhancements to ensure new strategies are successfully developed and implemented; leverage new or existing tools to manage and cultivate new business opportunities

  • Develop and maintain business cases and materials that support new Pharmacy Distribution system opportunities/enhancements and contribute directly to the establishment or achievement of performance metric targets

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Health Care Administration, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • Deep understanding of dispensing pharmacy front and back-end operating systems

  • 8 years of specialty pharmacy, analytics, product development, or consultative experience within healthcare, PBM, healthcare consulting or other highly regulated industries

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

  • Ability to work in self-directed environment

  • Ability to establish trust, respect and credibility and form close working relationships with all levels of Prime

  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications

  • Expert negotiation and influencing skills

  • Critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field
