Summary

Oversight of the Learning Network(s) across a broad group of internal / external stakeholders and national thought leaders aimed at improving clinical care and outcomes. Plans and directs the execution of short and long-term strategies towards programmatic development that supports and grows the network(s). This position maintains integral relationships with the pediatric community, including but not limited to; Heart Centers and Institutes, key pediatric providers and thought leaders, as well as policy makers. Leverage expertise in QI science and methodology to assist clinical / operational teams across the country drive improvement in their respective organizations. Responsible for the management of data collection and review processes set forth in the network(s). Serves as a primary leader in planning and directing multicenter conferences for a variety of national collaboratives. Partners with Heart Center Quality, Safety, Value Leadership to facilitate quality improvement across all Heart Center areas.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Learning Network(s) medical director to lead a comprehensive strategic plan for national learning network(s) to improve the quality and outcomes of cardiac care.
• Direct the overall operations of Learning Network(s) with a strategic priority to improve pediatric outcomes at a national level. Oversee and direct the business activities of Learning Network(s).
• The Director will manage communication through a wide range of channels and at a national level. Audiences will include national thought leaders, policy makers, national operational teams and families with the goal of increasing awareness of both current issues of focus for Learning Network(s) and interventions that will improve pediatric outcomes. Speak and present to partner agencies, administrative leaders of affiliated hospitals, and community members as applicable.
• Serve as the primary leader and collaborates with broad set of internal and external stakeholders regarding planning and execution of national conferences including but not limited to: Physician Leaders, CEU/CME, Executives, Marketing, and other site leaders.
• Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Evaluate area of responsibility for compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Identify best practices as well as deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement. Participate in the development of corrective action plans to guide needed and sustainable improvements. Ensure that compliance and readiness plans are current. Enhance relationships to promote interdisciplinary involvement and knowledge of compliance standards, status, and actions. Track laws, regulations and standards that may affect practice and policies. Work with direct reports to insure that needed changes are made by the effective date of any change(s) in requirements.
