Program Director - Crisis Stabilization Center

Salary: $95K-103K Annually

The Role

Under the general direction of the Vice-President, the Program Director is responsible for the overall clinical management and administrative operations of his/her assigned program(s). This includes managing and monitoring the job performance of all program employees, ensuring the quality of clinical services provided to persons served, and maintaining effective communication between program staff and agency administration.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Supervise and monitor the environment to ensure behavioral guidelines are followed, a therapeutic environment is maintained, and interpersonal relationships remain positive.
  • Monitor the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the program’s clinical services and the safety of the environment of care.
  • Manage program services, improve existing services, and develop new treatment components to meet the needs of persons served.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and deploying agency policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to program staff.
  • Interview, hire, train, appraise, discipline, and potentially terminate subordinate staff.
  • Oversee plant operations to ensure a safe and secure environment of care.
  • Ensure clinical staff maintains accurate, complete, and timely records that comply with regulatory standards and agency policies.
  • Ensure all program staff uphold the agency's Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics and comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
Qualifications

Who You Will Be

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology with 4-6 years of experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment, plus 3-5 years of administrative/supervisory experience in addiction and/or mental health programs.
  • AND
  • OASAS CASAC certification (Advanced or Master Level) if not a licensed NYSED Qualified Health Professional (QHP) for designated programs.
  • AND
  • Completion of OASAS Clinical Supervision Foundations I & II (30 hours) within one year of hire for all Program Directors who are Social Workers.
  • OR
  • Licensed NYSED Qualified Health Professional (LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, or Psychologist) with at least 4-6 years of experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment, and 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments, managed care principles, and behavioral practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and EHR systems.
  • SIFI certification or willingness to obtain within one year for Social Worker Program Directors.
  • Knowledge of OASAS, OMH, and CSAT guidance.
  • Ability to implement and monitor policies and procedures in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing substance abuse treatment programs.
