Job summary

Prairie Community Services is seeking a Program Director to oversee the 24-hour operation of our program serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health needs. Starting salary is $62,400 per year.

On-site leadership ensures program coordination, staff training, and adherence to regulatory requirements. You will supervise schedules, document program information, and lead in-services, performance reviews, and staffing decisions to deliver quality

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or as dictated by licensure.
• Must pass DHS background clearance.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet company driving criteria.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
• Must have a BA or BS degree in human services or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, evaluate, update, and train on each person’s services, supports, and outcomes.
• Ensure the needs and program expectations of persons served are met 24 hours/day.
• Follow recipes, menus and diets as ordered when preparing and serving meals/snacks.
• Ensure medical treatments and medications are ordered, secured, stored, documented, and given as medically ordered.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with people we serve and their family members, outside services and providers, all PCS staff, and the public.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules including approving/denying staff requests for time off.
• Ensure documentation of daily program information.
• Attend and/or lead all in-services, develop and maintain staff schedules complete employee performance reviews, hire discipline and terminate staff.
