Job summary

Prairie Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Program Director for the Shorewood Home in Starbuck, MN. This full-time, on-site role oversees the 24-hour operation, supervises staff, ensures person-centered programming, and maintains regulatory compliance to support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental health needs.

Starting salary is $58,240 per year. A BA/BS in human services or related field is required, with DHS background clearance and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in human services or related field
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating programs preferred
• Knowledge of regulations governing services for individuals with disabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, evaluate, update, and train on each person’s services, supports, and outcomes.
• Ensure needs and program expectations of persons served are met 24 hours/day.
• Follow recipes, menus and diets as ordered when preparing meals and snacks.
• Ensure medical treatments and medications are ordered, stored, documented, and administered as ordered.
• Communicate professionally with people served, families, outside services, and staff.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules, including time-off approvals.
• Document daily program information and maintain records.
• Lead in-services, manage employee performance reviews, and handle hiring/discipline.
