Job summary

Sevita's Alabama Mentor division seeks a Program Director for Behavioral Health Services to lead clinical operations and a dedicated team. You will oversee service quality, regulatory compliance, staff development, and partner relationships to support youth in residential and treatment foster care settings.

The role emphasizes strategic growth, census management, and collaboration with state leaders to drive program success and positive outcomes for individuals served.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related Human Services field or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience as required by state.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with State Director and Leadership Team to manage day-to-day operations of the behavioral health program and team.
  • Ensure services quality, regulatory compliance, staff training, and financial performance, with supervision for direct staff.
  • Foster relationships with individuals served, families, and guardians; implement satisfaction plans.
  • Implement core growth strategy to increase census, occupancy, and start new programs.
  • Maintain relationships with DHR case managers and referral agents; advocate for individuals served.

Program Director, Behavioral Health Services

  • Collaborate with the State Director and Leadership Team members to manage the day-to-day operations of the clinical/behavioral health services program and a team.
  • Ensure quality of services delivered, and compliance with regulatory requirements, staff training, financial performance, and provide supervision to direct staff.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with individuals being served, families and guardians; and implement individual satisfaction enhancement plans.
  • Implement program core growth strategy to increase and maintain census, maximize utilization and occupancy percentages, and assist with new start development.
  • Foster and maintain relations with DHR case managers and referral agents; lobby on behalf of individuals receiving support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the Human Services field preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience to be assessed per candidate
  • Other training, certification, education, experience, and licensure as required by state
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills to manage relationships
  • A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
