Sevita Alabama Mentor, part of the Sevita family, provides Residential and Treatment Foster Care services to youth facing out-of-home placements, transitioning back into family homes, or independent living paths. Join our mission-driven team and make a difference in the lives we serve.

The Foster Care Recertification Specialist manages the annual contractual reviews for Host Home Providers, coordinates placement data, maintains files for compliance, helps retention, and supports mentor education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services and two years of related human services experience preferred.
• Licensed social worker in the state of AL.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Meet all state-specific regulatory requirements.
• Valid driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication to manage relationships.
• Commitment to quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the annual contractual review process for Host Home Providers.
• Provide information to the matching team on homes with availability for placement.
• Maintain and audit files regularly for compliance.
• Work with the management team to develop and implement a Mentor retention plan.
• Coordinate ongoing Mentor appreciation activities and develop continuing education sessions.
