The Lifepoint Health facility Maria Parham Franklin in Louisburg, NC seeks a Program Director of Behavioral Health to lead the clinical and operational aspects of the behavioral health program within an acute rural hospital setting.

You will oversee regulatory compliance, budgeting, staffing, and program development, while collaborating with hospital leadership, medical staff, and community partners to deliver high-quality, accessible behavioral health services to the local community.

Formación

• Master's degree required or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Licensed in state of practice (RN or applicable clinician).
• Leadership experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Minimum three years of behavioral health leadership/clinical experience.

How you'll contribute

The Behavioral Health Program Director provides strategic, operational, clinical, and administrative leadership for the behavioral health program within an acute rural hospital setting. This position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating program operations to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered, accessible, and cost-effective behavioral health services while supporting the hospital's mission and strategic objectives. The Program Director oversees program development, regulatory and accreditation compliance, quality and performance improvement, staffing, employee engagement, productivity, budgeting, financial performance, and implementation of organizational policies and initiatives. The Director provides leadership and supervision to behavioral health staff and collaborates closely with hospital and divisional leadership, medical staff, patients, families, community partners, and other key stakeholders to promote continuity of care and strengthen behavioral health services within the rural community. The Program Director participates in patient care as needed, supports outreach and program growth, maintains readiness for regulatory and accreditation requirements, and serves as a liaison between the behavioral health unit and hospital/divisional leadership. For Program Directors who are Registered Nurses, the role also serves as the Director of Psychiatric Nursing for the behavioral health unit. For Program Directors who are Licensed Master's-level Social Workers or other qualified clinicians, the role serves as the Director of Social/Clinical Services, with nursing leadership designated separately as appropriate.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have

• Master's degree
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing qualified by education and experience in the care of behavioral health patients accepted
• Licensure in State of Practice required
• Licensed Master's level clinician required
  • LMSW, LCSW, LICSW, or BSN
• Leadership experience preferred
• Three (3) years of experience in the caring for behavioral health patients preferred
