Job summary

Merakey seeks a Program Director to join our Wilkes Barre, PA location. The role requires a Master’s in psychology or related field, PA-licensed or eligible in LMFT/LSW/LCSW/LPC/LBS, and at least two years of mental health and developmental disability experience, plus two years in program management.

Starting salary is $62,000 annually, with mileage reimbursement, and a focus on building collaborative teams and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, or another health and human service-related field required.
• Licensed in PA or license eligible as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Social Worker (LSW), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Behavior Specialist (LBS).
• Two years in a mental health setting.
• Two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Possess at least two years of program management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.

• Developing and demonstrating a collaborative work environment in support of Merakey’s Core Values.

• Providing ongoing guidance, mentoring, feedback, and motivation to staff to ensure competent performance while adhering to department and Merakey policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance to state, local, federal, and contract requirements, as well as requirements from payors.
• Overseeing the profit and loss for the program and managing daily operations.
• Maintaining productive working relationships and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
• Overseeing recruitment and new hire onboarding processes.
