The YMCA of the East Valley is seeking a Program Director to lead program delivery, member engagement, and service excellence in our branch. You will collaborate with staff and volunteers to advance youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

You will manage programs, budgets, and staff, assess outcomes, and participate in fundraising and community partnerships while upholding the YMCA mission and values.

Evenings and weekends may be required to support events and program needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of YMCA experience or in a customer service field.
  • Proven experience in managing people, programs, and budgets.
  • Excellent human relation skills and an ability to maintain positive communication with staff and members

POSITION SUMMARY

The YMCA of the East Valley is committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for supporting YMCA operations through effective delivery of programs, services, and member engagement. This position contributes to the achievement of Association goals by promoting the YMCA mission, values, and strategic priorities while providing high-quality service to members, participants, staff, and the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions listed below are representative of the duties and responsibilities performed by this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive list.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform duties in alignment with YMCA mission, policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Deliver high-quality customer/member service to participants, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Support departmental and Association goals through effective communication, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and required professional development activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Support risk management and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support operational needs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Position-Specific Responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
