Job summary

NFI North, Inc. seeks a Program Director to oversee a five-bedroom Residential Treatment Program in Newport, NH. You will lead clinical services, staff, payroll, licensing compliance, and coordination with state funding sources to ensure top-quality care for adults with mental health needs.

The role includes on-call rotation and some evening hours, with a focus on building a strong leadership team and maintaining high standards of care within the organization’s continuum of services.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in social work or counseling preferred with at least four years of related service and management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years management experience and experience with participant population.
  • Experience in mental health care and working with adults with SMI/SPMI preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program operations and ensure high-quality services.
  • Develop and lead staff team; supervise payroll and record keeping.
  • Ensure licensing, Joint Commission requirements, and state funding coordination.
  • Manage fiscal operations and physical plant upkeep.
  • Provide training and supervision of staff; rotate on-call duties; some evening hours.

NFI North is seeking a Program Director to provide oversight for our five bed Residential Treatment Program that specializes in providing the supported housing services to individuals transitioning from and/or awaiting admission to Glencliff Home. This program is located in Newport New Hampshire.

This program will augment our existing continuum of care in large part due to our continued growth in serving this valuable population in NH. The Agency has a progressive reputation of providing comprehensive clinical, nursing, medical, case management, vocational, educational and peer support services and life skills to adults living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and/or complex medical needs. The participants residing in these treatment facilities are seeking independent home-like living.

Responsibilities: The Program Director serves as part of the Agency’s overall leadership team and helps to shape practice and policy throughout the organization. This person will be responsible for ensuring high-quality services and all aspects of program operations, including developing a management and staff team to assist them in all programmatic operations, clinical services, payroll, upholding licensing and Joint Commission requirements, coordination with State funding personnel, physical plant upkeep, fiscal management, record keeping, personnel development and oversight, training and supervision of staff. This position has rotating on-call responsibilities and is a member of the management team. Must be available to work some evening hours.

Qualifications: Preferred Master’s Degree in social work or counseling and a minimum of four years related service and management experience plus experience with participant population with mental illness or Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years management experience plus experience working with participant population.
