Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Program Director in Bridgewater, NJ. This full-time role leads 1–4 community-based programs, directing planning, staffing, and compliance to deliver person-centered supports.

You will supervise staff, handle hiring decisions, ensure service quality, and remain on-call to support operations. A high school diploma and several years in community-based management are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma and 4 plus years in management working with the community.
• Must be able to manage program staff, scheduling, and evaluations.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance.
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of 1–4 programs, including direct supports, planning, health care, advocacy, regulatory compliance, staffing, and financial management.
• Oversee program staff performance, scheduling, orientation, and personnel decisions.
• Make hiring, transfer, promotion, salary, corrective action, and termination recommendations.
• Ensure services are delivered consistently, engaging and client-centered across programs.
• Be on-call to support staff, arrange coverage, or cover shifts as needed.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
• Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
• Manage the implementation of program planning; monitor delivery of services and supports; ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.
• Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
