Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks a Program Director for IDD Services in Wisconsin. You will oversee 1–4 programs, manage staff, ensure service quality, and maintain regulatory compliance while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years in Human Services, plus a valid driver’s license. On-site work offers full benefits and career development within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of related experience in Human Services preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or regulations.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Reliable, compassionate attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of 1–4 programs, including services, planning, regulatory compliance, staffing, and financial management.
• Oversee program staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
• Ensure delivery of services is engaging, relevant, and consistent with individuals served.
• Be on-call to support staff and cover shifts when needed.

Program Director, IDD Services

$50,000 Annually

• Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
• Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
• Manage the implementation of program planning; monitor delivery of services and supports; ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.
• Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
