Job description

The Division of Student Affairs at the University of Virginia is guided by a three-pronged mission: to help students build community, pursue wellness, and grow as citizen-leaders. The ODOS Division of Student Success and Engagement invites applicants for two Program Coordinators in the Multicultural Student Services (MSS) unit, fostering a community of belonging and success for all students. In alignment with the University's 2030 strategic plan commitments to be one of the very best universities for first-generation and underrepresented students, this unit delivers resources, programs, and developmental opportunities that foster personal and professional growth. Program Coordinators provide advocacy, mentorship, and leadership development, oversee student programming, and manage operations for cultural centers. They work closely with student organizations, campus partners, and the Multicultural Student Services team to foster a strong sense of belonging and community.

  • University Engagement & Special Initiatives - Represent MSS in university-wide initiatives. Support key events such as welcome programs, recognition celebrations, and major campus-wide student engagement projects.
