Job summary

The University of Maryland’s Women’s Health Interdisciplinary Research Collaborative (WHIRC) seeks a Program Coordinator (Faculty Specialist) to lead administration, coordination, and reporting for WHIRC initiatives. The coordinator will liaison with campus units to support project activities and external outreach.

This full-time 12-month appointment reports to WHIRC leadership. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, 3+ years in research coordination, IRB experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health science, biological science, public health, psychology, biomedical engineering, or closely related field (Masters preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in research coordination, research administration, or a related academic/scientific role (experience with multi-PI sponsored programs preferred).
• Experience with IRB/REB protocol submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, and human subjects compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Experience with data management and statistical analysis platforms such as Qualtrics, REDCap, SPSS, Stata, or R.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic research administration systems (eRA Commons, Grants.gov).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and accuracy in data entry and regulatory recordkeeping.
• Experience with budget tracking and financial reporting (Workday preferred).
