Summary of Job Duties: The Program Coordinator will provide a high level of programmatic and administrative support for a division (or divisions) within the College of Medicine, Department of Surgery. Responsibilities include high-level administrative duties, program coordination, data collection and reporting, professional document preparation, travel management, purchasing, scheduling, and office support for the division(s). The coordinator will work cooperatively with Service Line staff to maintain UAMS standards of patient care, and must be detail-oriented with excellent professional writing, editing, and spelling skills. The position involves communication with internal and external leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in administration, communications, business (or related field) plus two (2) years of programmatic and executive support, or
  • High School diploma/GED plus six (6) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
  • At least 5 years' experience preparing executive-level correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
  • Experience with Workday or similar software.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Data reporting, literature searches, outreach coordination, event planning, faculty support, calendar management, CV updates, and more.
