Sunnyside Community Services in Queens, NY, seeks a highly organized Program Coordinator to support the P.S. 199Q after-school program.
You will help ensure safe, engaging, high-quality programming and oversee daily operations, staff supervision, and family engagement. Reporting to the Program Director, you will manage data, coordinate events, and support compliance with DYCD and 21CCLC requirements while fostering an inclusive environment for students and families.
Sunnyside Community Services (SCS) is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and student-centered Program Coordinator to support the daily operations of the P.S. 199Q Elementary After-School Program. Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Coordinator plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality programming, maintaining compliance with DYCD, 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) and SED requirements, supporting staff development, and fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for students and families. The Program Coordinator assists with program implementation, staff supervision, student recruitment and retention, family engagement, data management, and special events. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and team player who is passionate about positive youth development and continuous program improvement.
Status: Full Time (35 hours per week)
Reports to: Program Director
Schedule: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday (September 2026 – June 2027)
Location: P.S. 199Q in Sunnyside, Queens (Elementary School – Grades K-5)
Salary: $45,000 – $48,000
