The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking a Program Coordinator, Orientation and Family Programs to oversee on-campus program operations, exercise independent judgment, and ensure programs run efficiently and stay within budget.

You will serve as a liaison among departments and external partners, plan activities, monitor progress, prepare reports for sponsors, and contribute to development and evaluation of program ideas.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience on a one-for-one basis.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the assigned phases of programs, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation.
  • Proposes, evaluates, and coordinates the implementation of programs.
  • Researches new program ideas, and proposes program design, which may include grant development and submission.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
  • Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management.
  • Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program.
  • Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements.
  • Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor progress and results.
  • Provides data and progress/status reporting for program sponsors and university personnel.
  • Creates reports reflecting program progress and assists in internal controls.

Salary Range: Up to $46,300 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary

This position ensures programs run efficiently, meet goals, and stay within budget.This role serves as the liaison between teams and stakeholders to achieve success and growth.

  • Proposes, evaluates, and coordinates the implementation of programs.
  • Researches new program ideas, and proposes program design, which may include grant development and submission.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
  • Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
  • Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program.
  • Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements to ensure the program evolves as necessary to continue to serve the mission.
  • Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/participant progress and results.
  • Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for program sponsors and other university personnel.
  • Creates reports to reflect program progress and assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls.
  • Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience.
    • Additional education may substitute for experience on a one-for-one basis.
  • This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.

Working Conditions
  • In-person and on-campus position. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
