Job Summary:
PLNU is looking for an enthusiastic and organized team member with a friendly disposition, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to the university’s mission. The Program Coordinator will collaborate on a variety of projects to support and grow the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling (MACC) Online program and team. As the "face" of the MACC Online program, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the successful onboarding of new students. Additional responsibilities include assisting with student registration, coordinating department events, managing student applicant interviews, facilitating faculty search activities, and overseeing departmental expenses. The Program Coordinator will also provide administrative and technical support to the Program Director and Director of Clinical Training.Job Status:

What You'll Be Doing:
Providing administrative and technical support to the Program Director and Director of Clinical Training.
Coordinating onboarding for new students, including orientation and advising support.
Assisting with student registration, program advising, course requirements, and practicum placements.
Organizing student records, departmental documentation, and scholarship applications.
Planning and executing online and in-person events like open houses, interviews, and community gatherings.
Supporting the department budget, including purchasing, expense tracking, and budget analysis.
Assisting with faculty hiring and faculty professional development trip logistics.
Managing communications with students and prospective applicants.
Working with Admissions to plan interview events with prospective candidates and the MACC Admissions Committee.
Supporting the Director of Clinical Training in organizing and coordinating various events, including but not limited to Practicum Orientation, Practicum Fair, and Inter-Professional Experience events.
Scheduling and coordinating meetings, including departmental committees and exam proctoring.
Supervising student workers and contributing to a positive, mission-aligned team culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in higher education.
Proficiency in, or the ability to learn, Google and Microsoft suites, Zoom, social media, and other platforms used at the university.
Three years of increasingly responsible clerical/bookkeeping experience in an academic setting.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, including adherence to HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to take direction and show initiative while working independently.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to travel to the PLNU Mission Valley campus 4–6 times a year to support events
