Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) seeks a Program Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Chair of the Medicine department in Bethesda, MD.

This role involves coordinating meetings, managing records, and handling high-level inquiries with tact and discretion. Responsibilities include drafting responses, supporting seminars and Grand Rounds, and ensuring compliance with records policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to produce analytical reports and summaries.
• Ability to interact with all department personnel and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of department goals, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets/Slides/Calendar and Microsoft Office.
• Strong word processing and typing skills; extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit correspondence, abstracts, manuscripts, and grant proposals.
• Provide back-up support to senior administrative staff in the SOM-MED office.
• Provide administrative and office automation support to faculty and staff; review documents for format and accuracy.
