Job description

Program Coordinator, Master’s Programs – Tepper School of Business

The Tepper School of Business seeks a motivated and organized Program Coordinator to support the operations and administration of its Master’s Programs. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth execution of program activities and providing exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff. The Program Coordinator will assist with program logistics, project management, financial support, event planning, student support, and fostering a high-quality experience for students, staff, and faculty. The Program Coordinator will be a student-facing in-person role, managing the coordination of a large suite of professionals. The Program Coordinator will report directly to and support the Assistant Dean of Masters programs with strategic priorities critical for student and program success. The position will also work closely with the Executive Director of Students Services and the Student Services team.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and support events programs including but not limited to Orientation, Commencement, Friday Socials.
  • Oversee student club resources and advise student clubs on processes and procedures including financial processes.
  • Support Assistant Director with expense reporting, meeting coordination, and other projects.
  • Significant interaction and communication with students serving as the main point of contact for the office suite with responsibility for responding to all inquiries received via phone and email.
  • Event coordination skills to support both department and student-led events including planning, logistics, registration, and advising.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities, communications, and interactions with other members of the team and the TPR and CMU academic community.
  • Support of Assistant Dean for strategic projects, meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to student events and planning. Will be a liaison between department and other campus partners.
  • Answer all routine and unique questions or correct most problems/issues directly; refer only the most difficult issues and questions to supervisor.
  • Support of BECI Summer Program and Lunch and Learn Program and other programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of project and/or relevant experience required.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
