Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a LVN Program Coordinator to work under the VN Program Director and VN Assistant Program Director for the Vocational Nursing Program.

You will help plan, develop, and evaluate the LVN program, coordinate faculty staffing and clinical rotations, prepare required documentation for state and Board compliance, and support instructor training and student advising.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, clear and current active license as a Vocational or Registered Nurse in assigned state.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years with an Associate's degree as LVN or RN; teaching or clinical supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program.
• Prepare data and materials for state and Board requirements including reports, surveys, audits, and site visits.
• Assist in training new faculty and in the professional development of existing faculty.
• Assist in planning faculty staffing to ensure course coverage.
• Ensure theory and clinical evaluations are completed in a timely manner by assigned faculty.
• Coordinate evaluations from students, clinical sites, representatives, and faculty after each rotation.
• Support strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
• Improve quality of instruction and ensure timely completion of clinical calendars and rotations.

Job Description

The LVN program Coordinator works with and functions under the supervision of the Campus VN Program Director and VN Assistant Program Director for the Vocational Nursing Program.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Assists with planning, developing, managing, updating and evaluating all aspects of the program.
• Assists with preparing data and other written materials for all required state and Board requirements including reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, audits, and site visits.
• Assist in the training of new faculty and the professional development of existing faculty.
• Assist in planning faculty staffing to ensure course coverage.
• Ensures theory and clinical evaluations are completed in a timely manner by assigned faculty.
• Assists in gathering evaluations from students, clinical sites. representatives, and faculty upon completion of each clinical rotation
• Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
• Makes continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction.
• Ensures clinical assignments, clinical rotation matrixes and calendars are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensures faculty are consistently following policies and guidelines as related to student clinical rotation experience.
• Reviews student learning material on an ongoing basis.
• Ensures student records are maintained according to policies.
• Submits required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner.
• Keeps current with new technologies and safety regulations.
• Provides advising support and planning assistance to potential and current students.
• Ensures all students have completed the necessary documentation and meet the requirements for graduation and the state licensing exam.
• Teach (either theory or clinical) half of the time as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Pay Range: The annual pay range for this position is $104,000/year (minimum), and $110,000/year (maximum).

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, clear and current active license as a Vocational or Registered Nurse in assigned state.
• Demonstrates effective problem-solving and leadership skills.
• The ability to communicate pertinent information in a timely manner to appropriate personnel.
• The ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Have a minimum of three years’ experience with a Bachelor's degree or six years with an Associate's degree, as a LVN or RN; one year shall be in teaching or clinical supervision, or a combination thereof.
