Job summary

Dungarvin in Lakewood, WA seeks a Program Coordinator to lead direct support for residents in a Supported Living Program. You will provide hands-on instruction, health and safety support, and help individuals with I/DD achieve personal goals.

Reporting to the Program Director, this non-supervisory role involves assisting with daily living activities, meals, transportation, documentation, and adherence to program policies while fostering independence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of caregiver experience required (experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, eating).
• Prepare meals and snacks; may include grocery shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with transportation for community outings, appointments, and errands.
• Implement behavior supports and de-escalation during challenging behaviors.
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance (may include mechanical lift devices).
• Administrative duties such as scheduling, staff training, documentation and follow-up, ensuring policy compliance.

Job Description

The Program Coordinator (PC) is the lead direct support professional foran assigned Supported Living PrograminLakewood, WA and will be responsible providing direct support, hands-on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals.

This is not a supervisory role. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.
