Serving as an administrative assistant to the Director of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies ( WGSS ), the Program Coordinator oversees event planning and operations for the Center for Women’s Studies. The Center and the WGSS Program work together to create knowledge and greater awareness across campus on issues related to gender and sexuality studies, using an intersectional lens to study and address historical, campuswide, national and international issues. The WGGS Program, established in the 1980s, is housed at The Center and is an interdisciplinary program that draws upon the expertise and strengths of faculty in a variety of departments across divisions. The Center for Women’s Studies and the WGSS Program have a mutually beneficial and collaborative relationship that accentuates one another’s strengths. The Program Coordinator for WGSS serves as a key nexus between the two. The Program Coordinator also forges strong ties with the Office of Equity and Diversity, particularly during the summer months when the Program Coordinator works on projects and initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive Colgate community.

Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in WGSS or related field.
This is a temporary position.
This position is anticipated to work a minimum of 20 hours per week from September 2026 through December 2026.
