Job Description and Position Requirements:

Student Affairs invites applications for a Program Coordinator position for BLUEprint & Community Mentoring at the Paul Robeson Cultural Center (PRCC). This role primarily manages the BLUEprint Peer Mentoring Program, along with supporting educational program development, student advocacy, and support.

The BLUEprint Program is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association and focuses on providing academic, cultural, and social support to first-year and change-of-campus students through peer mentoring.

Additional responsibilities include supporting community-based mentoring, assisting the Director and Assistant/Associate Director with administrative functions of the PRCC, and providing direct support to student communities.

Responsibilities:
  1. BLUEprint Peer Mentoring Program
    • Oversee and implement the peer mentoring program and curriculum
    • Advise and oversee peer mentor leaders; develop training; maintain program certification
    • Co-manage the program budget with the Assistant Director
    • Supervise a full-time Graduate Assistant for Mentoring and Community Engagement
    • Develop metrics to assess program effectiveness related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and community building
  2. Community Engagement & Support
    • Lead programs promoting student development for underrepresented populations
    • Provide outreach, advice, training, and resources to campus student leaders
    • Offer consultations to students and organizations on campus climate and inclusion issues
    • Collaborate with university departments to develop strategies addressing access and success barriers
    • Support the development and implementation of departmental vision and strategic plans
    • Represent PRCC on university committees addressing diversity and inclusion
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Check.
