The 11th Hour Project, a Palo Alto-based program of The Schmidt Family Foundation, is committed to promoting a responsible relationship with the planet’s food, water and energy resources. We are looking for an exceptional person to provide administrative support to our Food and Agriculture Program, which is focused on exposing the true costs of industrial agriculture, building power in affected communities, and advancing regenerative farming models. The Program Coordinator must have an excellent work ethic, be highly organized and skilled at setting priorities, and possess a willingness to jump in with both feet. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, smart, and highly productive; a quick study who thrives in a high-performing organization where standards are high and work is expected to be done quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
This position does not supervise any employees.
Approximately 90% of time spent on the job involves use of a video display terminal; therefore, the candidate must be able to sit for extended periods and to utilize standard ergonomics practices. This position primarily works in an office environment, requiring the following activity: lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 15 pounds, kneeling, and bending. Must be able to use standard office equipment such as copiers and faxes.
