We are deploying Vision X, our enterprise video-intelligence platform, across manufacturing operations — applying AI to live and recorded camera feeds to detect safety violations, enforce compliance, and unlock shopfloor productivity. This is a dual-hatted, senior individual-contributor-plus-leadership role for someone who can both coordinate the end-to-end program across IT, OT, EHS, and Operations and own the enterprise architecture for a scalable, secure, multi-site Video-Surveillance-as-a-Service (VSaaS) deployment.
The right person is equally comfortable in the boardroom and on the shopfloor: able to run a steering committee and a plant-floor camera survey in the same week, translate an EHS incident-reduction target into a reference architecture, and hold vendors, systems integrators, and internal stakeholders to a single delivery roadmap.
What You'll Own
Program Coordination & Delivery Leadership
- Own end-to-end delivery of the Vision X program across multiple plants — from proof-of-value through enterprise rollout — against scope, schedule, budget, and value targets.
- Establish and run program governance: steering committees, executive status reporting, RAID (risks/assumptions/issues/dependencies) management, and stage-gate reviews.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across EHS / Safety, Operations, IT, OT & Automation, Quality, Legal/HR, and Finance — resolving competing priorities and securing decisions.
- Manage the vendor and partner ecosystem: VMS providers, GPU/edge suppliers, camera OEMs, connectivity partners, and systems integrators — SOWs, SLAs, and delivery accountability.
- Build and maintain the multi-site rollout playbook: site-readiness assessments, camera/network surveys, deployment sequencing, and repeatable onboarding for each plant.
- Lead change management and workforce adoption — operator training, floor-leader enablement, and communications that build trust in AI-assisted safety and productivity monitoring.
- Define and track program value — safety-incident reduction, compliance rates, near-miss capture, and OEE/productivity uplift — with baselined, defensible KPIs (illustrative and directional until validated against site data).
- Manage program financials: business case, capex/opex modeling, and per-site cost-to-serve (camera counts, edge compute, licensing, cloud/on-prem economics).
- Own the Vision X reference architecture — a secure, scalable edge-to-cloud vision pipeline standardized across sites.
- Camera & network layer: ONVIF/RTSP camera integration, PoE and edge connectivity, VLAN/segmentation design, bandwidth and retention planning.
- Video management layer: integration with Milestone XProtect–class VMS for ingestion, recording, retention, and access control; hybrid/cloud VSaaS delivery model.
- Vision AI layer: design streaming inference pipelines (NVIDIA DeepStream / Metropolis) combining TAO-trained deep-learning models, classical OpenCV routines, and custom detectors/trackers for shopfloor use cases.
- Edge & inference: Jetson (Orin / AGX) and industrial-edge sizing, TensorRT optimization, Triton serving, and fleet orchestration for distributed camera nodes.
- Analytics & search: forensic/video-synopsis search, real-time alerting, dashboards, heatmaps, and object/attribute filtering (BriefCam-class capabilities).
- Integration architecture: connect vision events to MES/SCADA/Historian and enterprise systems via ISA-95, OPC-UA/MQTT, Unified Namespace, and Kafka streaming.
- Security & privacy by design: OT cybersecurity (IEC 62443), data governance, retention/redaction policies, worker-consent frameworks, and Responsible-AI governance for workforce-facing analytics.
- MLOps & model lifecycle: dataset strategy, labeling, drift monitoring, retraining, versioning, and safe edge model deployment.
- Non-functional design: scalability to N cameras across sites, high availability/DR, latency budgets, and cloud-vs-on-prem cost/tokenomics trade-offs.
- Set architecture standards, patterns, and reference designs that every site deployment inherits.
