Do you enjoy being physically active and working with youth and families in schools and communities? If so, this is the position for you! Healthy Oxford Hills, the Community Health department at Stephens Memorial Hospital/Western Maine Health, is seeking a qualified, self-motivated, and energetic individual to assist with the coordination and implementation of our Growing Healthy Kids program.
Growing Healthy Kids is part of the Roberts Farm Experiential Learning Program, a collaboration between the Oxford Hills School District, the Western Foothills Land Trust, and Healthy Oxford Hills. The program aims to expand physical activity and wellness initiatives across the Oxford Hills region, encouraging students to develop healthy habits in physical activity, nutrition, stress management, screen time, and sleep.
This position primarily works with 3rd and 4th grade students but also engages with students in other elementary and middle/high school grades. The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and within a team, collaborating with schools, childcare facilities, after-school programs, and community partners to increase opportunities for physical activity and nutrition among participants.
The role involves coordinating and implementing specific program elements, communications, and activities in collaboration with healthcare team members and community entities to enhance community health and wellbeing.
