Program Coordinator, Clinical Social Work

The Coordinator supports the administration, coordination, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of various programs, including but not limited to the Division of Clinical Social Work, Immediate Needs Transportation, the Department of Supportive Care Medicine, and the Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center (BRC/DCSM). In collaboration with the Directors, the Coordinator manages, coordinates, and facilitates program activities. Key responsibilities include tracking program progress and projects within the institution, conducting professional and analytical tasks to support daily operations, and performing advanced clerical duties. These duties require a high level of expertise and a strong understanding of office operations and problem-solving.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • The Coordinator has a key role in coordinating transportation programs that assist City of Hope patients and family members across the enterprise.
  • The Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of the Immediate Needs Program, sponsored by the County of Los Angeles. The Coordinator ensures patients' needs are met in critical situations by providing vouchers for transportation services. The Coordinator also attends meetings with patient groups to understand their needs.
  • Serve as a backup resource for ERP and assist with implementing contracts into Meditract.
  • Perform clerical duties of high scope and complexity, requiring strong knowledge and the highest level of expertise in office operations and clerical problems.
  • Provide general clerical services that are accurate, reliable, courteous, and timely.
  • Triages variable, unpredictable, and sensitive situations, such as telephone calls and walk-ins, in a timely, calm, and professional manner to the appropriate higher-level staff.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of department equipment, office machines, and supplies.
  • Troubleshoot problems, report malfunctions, and arrange for repairs.
  • Quarterly review Accreditation Manager Plus (AMP) to ensure required metrics are up to date. Prepare reports in compliance with state and Joint Commission review.
  • Analyze, create, and maintain databases to house collected data. Determine methods for data collection and reporting.
Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three or more years of experience, or additional experience plus minimum experience requirements may substitute for minimum education.
  • One or more years of experience in program coordination.
