Job summary

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks, maintain office confidentiality, and accommodate numerous interruptions.
  • Position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others and function as a team member.
  • Advanced knowledge of computers and software applications, specifically the MS Office suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front desk customer service information and directions to students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
  • Oversee and train student employees on front desk duties.
  • Monitor the daily 25Live Scheduling program and dispatch officers to unlock/lock buildings and rooms as needed.
  • Timely dispatch of Campus Safety Officers for service calls on all campus properties.
  • Communicate to the campus community during emergencies; notify 911 in case of emergencies.
  • Monitor budget status monthly; maintain program budgets for Parking and Campus Safety; reconcile and initiate corrective action as needed.

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) invites applications from highly motivated and qualified candidates for the position of Program Coordinator to support the Campus Safety department.

The Program Coordinator exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations. Advises students, staff, program participants, and/or the public regarding program content, policies, procedures, and activities; select/recommends courses of action that help facilitate a safe and secure campus to assist in student retention and completion. The Security department concentrates on three core areas: public safety/service, crime prevention, and emergency response.

Duty: Customer Service Front Desk Services

Tasks include:

  • Provide Campus information and directions to students, staff, faculty, and visitors
  • Oversee and train student employees on duties for the front desk responsibilities
  • Monitor the daily 25Live Scheduling program and dispatch officers to unlock/lock buildings and rooms as needed
Duty: Campus Safety Dispatch

Tasks include:

  • Timely dispatch of Campus Safety Officers for service calls on all campus properties.
  • Communicates to the campus community through emergency communications programs a serious incident that presents a threat to the community's health and safety.
  • Notify 911 in case of emergencies
Duty: Fiscal duties

Tasks include:

  • Monitor budget status monthly;
  • Maintain program budgets for Parking and Campus Safety
  • Reconcile and initiate corrective action as needed
  • Maintain department purchase card, submit monthly P-Card logs, and maintain receipts
Duty: Record keeping and clerical duties

Tasks include:

  • Key/Card Control: S2 and Key
    • Process key request
    • Process lost key/card payments
    • Issue Child Care parents and employees access cards and process collection for payment
    • Maintain key/access requests
    • Assign access levels to card users through an access request
    • Manage the campus quarterly lock & unlock schedule for daily building opening and closing through the S2 program.
    • Input changes to the unlocking/locking schedule through the S2 door control system.
    • Purchase, organize, and maintain office supplies for the Campus Safety Department
    • Orders uniforms and duty equipment as needed
  • CTR
    • Provide communication to the campus community about the CTR program
    • Manage annual CTR survey
    • Update and manage the Campus CTR web page
Minimum Qualifications
