Job summary

Catholic Charities Eastern Washington seeks a supervisor for the permanent supportive housing (OSHS) team in Spokane. You will oversee case managers and healthcare coordinators, coordinate care plans, and ensure service delivery aligns with agency and funder requirements.

You will lead staff scheduling, coordinate with partners, monitor performance, and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI. A bachelor’s in social services or related field with supervision experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field and at least 3 years of progressive experience in social services including at least one year of staff supervision.
  • Certificates/Licenses: Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive for work with access to a car.
  • Pass a background check applicable to position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to permanent supportive housing care coordinators, healthcare coordinator, peer support specialists, and/or street outreach staff, or other direct service positions with OSHS.
  • Ensure development and monitoring of individualized case plans for each client.
  • Ensure compliance with funder and fidelity requirements.
  • Monitor staff performance, including frequency of client engagement.
  • Conduct routine audits of case plans and file documentation and provide feedback to case managers.
  • Coordinate staff training and professional development.
  • Provide crisis- response direction per agency protocol.
  • Monitor program data quality and HMIS reporting.
  • Ensure case manager compliance with agency procedures and standards.
  • Assist with grant applications, budget preparations, and grants management activities.
  • Maintain internal and external deadlines; coordinate with service partners.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supervising case managers and other program staff supporting residents in permanent supportive housing projects. The position also facilitates the operations of the collaborative Onsite Supportive Housing Services (OSHS) team, including staff scheduling, ensuring development and maintenance of care plans for all residents, facilitating staff meetings, coordinating with internal and external service partners, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with agency/funder requirements and standards. The OSHS team requires employees to maintain commitment to and working knowledge of the principles of service delivery for homeless and service-enriched housing services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision to permanent supportive housing care coordinators, healthcare coordinator, peer support specialists, and/or street outreach staff, or other direct service positions with OSHS.
  • Ensures consistent development and monitoring of individualized case plans for each program client.
  • Ensures compliance with funder and fidelity requirements.
  • Monitors staff performance, including frequency of client engagement.
  • Conducts routine audits of case plans and client files and other required documentation and provides feedback to case managers.
  • Coordinates staff training and professional development.
  • Provides direction in crisis situations following agency protocols.
  • Monitors program data quality and prepares reports needed for agency and funders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for Spokane’s HMIS database.
  • Ensures case manager compliance with agency procedures and standards.
  • Assists with grant applications, budget preparations, and other grants managements activities as needed.
  • Ensure both internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Coordinates with internal and external service partners.
  • Maintains on-call availability at nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Uses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
  • Regularly utilizes all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • As a mandated reporter, follows all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect.
  • Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
  • Performs related functions as assigned to support program success and the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have a bachelor’s degree in social services or related field and at least 3 years of progressive experience in the social services field including at least one year of staff supervision required. Commensurate experience can be substituted for degree requirement.

Certificates/Licenses: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive for work use with access to a car. Successfully pass background check applicable to position.
