Job summary

LifeSTEPS is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator for the Sacramento Downtown, CA area. The role is 20 hours per week, non-exempt, with a $20.00/hour pay rate. You will design and coordinate after-school activities, support families, and engage youth to foster growth and resilience.

Under the Regional Director of Social Services, you’ll collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality educational and supportive services to residents, ensuring safety and compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a similar environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• Valid California Driving License and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and coordinate after-school activities and programs.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director of Social Services to provide high-quality services to residents.
• Support families through engagement and communication.
• Monitor attendance, documentation, and program compliance.
• Manage event planning and budget for activities.

This position works closely with the Director of Social Services (DSS) to provide the highest quality of service to the residents served by LifeSTEPS.Core Duties Program CoordinatorEmpower children from low-income and underserved families to flourish by providing after-school education and resources.Ensure our young individuals a caring and safe place to go after school to get assistance with homework and academic enrichment.Encourage children to thrive and become empowered so they can develop into resilient adults.Education and/or Experience and/or License Certification:High School Diploma or equivalent.Two (2) years of experience in a similar environment providing services.Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.Valid California Driving License and reliable, insured transportation requiredAre you ready to make a difference, stand behind and support individuals and families so they achieve their goals and become empowered to move forward in their lives?
