Job summary

River Valley Regional YMCA is seeking a Program Coordinator to work with program staff and participants to ensure the highest quality of youth and adult sports and programs. The role also supports the Director with oversight and operations of all assigned programming.

The position involves developing operating plans, supervising activities, supporting fundraising, ensuring regulatory compliance, and handling outreach and registrations while maintaining timely responses and measuring

Qualifications

• Degree in related field or equivalent.
• Related experience preferred.
• Completion of required certifications (Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens) within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program growth for the YMCA. Executes strategies to ensure that program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA.
• Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives. Expands the youth sports programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
• Provides leadership and support to the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees/boards as assigned. Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the community.
• Assures compliance with state and local regulations. Ensures that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
• Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations.
• Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely (24-48 hours) manner.
• Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in the program.
