The Department of Special Education welcomes applications for a Program Coordinator.

This position is grant-funded through June 2027.
























Program coordinator for the federally funded grant from the Institute of Education Sciences. The program coordinator will provide, coordinate and oversee the logistics of the day to day office duties and responsibilities of the grant. This is an onsite position.




Associate's degree or equivalent in psychology or a related field.




Over one to three years of related experience.




Proficient in Word, excellent communication and teamwork skills. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.








Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in psychology or a related field.




Prior grant related work experience; including data collection, literature review and manuscript preparation.




Willingness and ability to travel; possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.

Duties & Responsibilities









Communicate with research sites to make sure appointments are accurate. Monitor research team progress, and day to day activities, including maintaining weekly agendas and taking minutes. Organize/communicate with research sites. Assist PI's in other grant related activities such as recruitment of research participants; track outgoing and incoming data. Work with research assistants to develop a tracking system. Transcribe focus group data and assist with analysis. Organize forms and materials.

Prepare and maintain personnel records, oversee scheduling logistics and correspondence files. Prepare and maintain IRB annual reviews.

Attend consultations, assist with conducting phone calls for eligibility for research participation, which includes direct interaction with parents, teachers and children with autism.

Work closely with PI's to collect data and plan activities for the year and ensure that research assistants are completing activities in a timely manner and with quality assurance. Follow reimbursement procedures for grant activities (travel, supplies) Conduct literature reviews, help prepare manuscripts. Literature reviews are expected to be conducted independently. Will also co-author conference presentations and manuscripts.
