Job summary

RTX is seeking a finance-focused professional to support cost controls for defense programs in a hybrid US-based role. Responsibilities include EVM activities, EAC/LRE preparation, and coordination with program teams to ensure accurate financial performance and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have EVMS experience, strong Excel analysis skills, and the ability to work independently while handling multiple reports and deadlines. U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) concepts and Budget Baseline Management.
  • Experience performing cost and schedule analysis, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing or analyzing EACs and/or LREs.
  • Experience working independently to plan and complete assigned responsibilities.
  • Experience analyzing financial, cost, schedule, or program performance data and documenting findings.
  • Experience preparing written reports, presentations, or other program documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) activities, including cost and schedule baseline development, integration, maintenance, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Latest Revised Estimates (LREs) using established processes, tools, and reports.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, CAMs, and program team members regarding cost, schedule, and financial performance.
  • Prepare, review, and submit program reports, including IPMR and CFSR, in accordance with established reporting requirements and schedules.
  • Prepare internal program financial reports and materials for program reviews.
  • Monitor program funding requirements, prepare funding requests, and track funding status.
  • Coordinate financial and program information with applicable functional organizations to support reporting requirements.
  • Complete assigned financial and program control activities in accordance with established deadlines.

What You Will Do

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
