Job summary

Amplifier seeks a Program and Communications Associate in New York to help develop programs, coordinate events, and manage communications across newsletters, blogs, social media, and website updates.

You will interact with givers across ages and collaborate with partners in the giving circle and nonprofit sectors. The role includes office management tasks and executive support for the CEO on special projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience in planning and coordinating meetings and events.
• Graphic design skills with InDesign are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director on development of programs, including materials and content creation.
• Lead Amplifier’s event coordination, liaising with vendors, venues, menus and staffing.
• Support program evaluation and data collection efforts.
• Create content for Amplifier’s newsletter, blog, and social media; outreach and guest posts.
• Create and execute program recruitment strategies and outreach plans; CMS-driven content for website and social channels.
• Design handouts/materials in InDesign and update Amplifier’s website as needed.
• Manage office relationships (WeWork or other providers) and oversee office operations.
• Serve as a point of contact for service providers and vendors (accounting, payroll, benefits).
• Assist CEO as Executive Assistant on special projects and coordinate Board meetings and materials.
• Monitor and respond to general inquiries to the team.
