As a part of this team, you will guide students to do more than change their own lives – you will help change the lives of every patient they care for throughout their career.

As the Chair, Post-Licensure Nursing, you will provide academic leadership and operational oversight for the designated post-licensure nursing program(s).

You will make an impact by:

  2. Leading faculty in curriculum delivery, overseeing experiential and didactic instruction, and driving continuous improvement and academic excellence across all aspects of the program.
  3. Managing day-to-day academic operations, serving as the primary contact for program faculty and students, supporting faculty recruitment, training, evaluation, and professional development, and conducting classroom observations.
  4. Promoting student success and retention through proactive engagement, advising, and collaboration with university resources and support services.
  5. Participating in university events such as meetings, orientations, graduation ceremonies, and committee meetings, while fostering a collaborative, student-centered learning environment.
  6. This position includes a teaching workload; the Chair is expected to teach assigned courses each term while fulfilling administrative responsibilities.
  7. Maintaining a regular campus presence and being accessible to students, faculty, and partners.
  8. Travel within the U.S. for university events and meetings.

Your Experience Includes:

  • Didactic and clinical teaching in nursing or related discipline, with at least five years’ professional experience and three years in instructional roles.
  • Minimum of two years of online teaching experience in nursing education.
  • Proven leadership in program management, faculty coordination, and operations in higher education.
  • Expertise in curriculum design and assessment, including online, hybrid, and in-person modalities, applying best practices in education.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., BRN, TBON, CCNE, CNEA, WASC, Title IV) and success in preparing for site visits and audits.
  • Understanding of CCNE standards, NONPF competencies, and state nursing regulations.
  • Experience in program-level leadership, faculty coordination, and academic operations.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills using KPIs for strategic planning and improvement.

  • Active RN license in the state of residence.
  • Additional specialty credentials as required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Active national certification as FNP.
  • Minimum three years of FNP clinical experience in primary care.
