Job summary

Montgomery County Recreation seeks an energetic, entry-level Program Assistant for seasonal work. You will deliver excellent customer service, help supervise participants, set up and break down equipment, and support a safe, welcoming environment across recreation programs and facilities.

Qualifications include the ability to read and write in English and prior experience leading or instructing a recreation activity.

As a Program Assistant you will:

• Provide exceptional customer service by looking up and sharing accurate information.
• Assists with supervision of participants in school-based or recreation center-based programs or activities.
• Set up and break down equipment.
• Monitor activities and ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Lead recreation activities.

• Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting during programs or activities.
• Assist with cleaning and organizing of facility or program.
• Learn something new EVERY DAY!
• To be a successful Program Assistant, you MUST:
• Be able to follow directions.

The hourly rate for this SEASONAL/TEMPORARY position is $18.00!

• Experience: Some work experience leading or instructing a recreation or related activity.
• Education: Ability to read and write in English.
• Equivalency: None.
