Job summary

Proviso Area for Exceptional Children (PAEC) is seeking a full-time one-to-one program assistant to support an individual student in the autism classroom at PAEC Center. The role requires Paraprofessional Educator License or Substitute Teaching License, a high school diploma, and the ability to be 18+.

A successful candidate will have passing scores on ETS Parapro or ACT WorkKeys and be capable of lifting or transferring students when needed. Benefits include medical, dental and leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional Educator License to work in PreK–8.
• Substitute teaching license required; bachelor's degree acceptable.
• High school diploma or equivalent and 18+ years old; ability to work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one paraprofessional support in autism classroom.
• Assist with lifting or transferring students when necessary.
• Support instructional activities and ensure student safety.
