Job summary

Methuen Public School District in Methuen High School is seeking a Special Education Assistant to support students with emotional disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings. You will assist with behavior plans, academic support, and social skills development, and help with arrival and dismissal.

The role is physically demanding and requires CPI training (during work hours) and the ability to assist with lifting or restraining when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working with children or students.
• Experience assisting in program implementation.
• Ability to work with professional staff; substitution allowed for strong experience.
