Job summary

Prairie View A&M University is seeking an Extension Assistant in the AgNR program in Waller County to support program files, events, and data collection. You will liaise with county agents, help plan seminars, organize meetings, and assist with fieldwork and outreach.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; no prior experience is required. Driving license is required and opportunities exist within Cooperative Extension Programs.

Responsibilities

• Creates, establishes, and maintains program files and databases essential for project management and documentation.
• Act as the primary liaison and point of contact for all program-related inquiries, providing prompt and professional assistance to the staff.
• Collaborate with the county agents to plan, market, and coordinate logistics for program seminars, workshops, and other special events.
• Assist in organizing and facilitating committee meetings, including preparing materials, scheduling, and ensuring smooth proceedings.
• Conduct farm visits as needed to monitor project activities and collect relevant data for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Participates and assists in college-wide events, activities, committees and performs others duties as necessary.
