Child Care Resource Center, Inc. is seeking a Program Assistant to provide administrative support to the CCFA Division. Under supervision, you will help with clerical tasks, records, and ensuring program compliance while assisting families navigating childcare subsidies.
The role involves customer service to parents and providers, data entry, and travel as needed. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Under supervision, the Program Assistant provides administrative support within an organizational structure, primarily focusing on assisting the Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFA) Division. Within a team structure, provide administrative support services to CCFA teams in compliance with regulations for subsidized childcare programs, which include the following responsibilities:
Support case management tasks including, but not limited to filing, typing, sending/receiving/logging mailings; preparing enrollment and provider packets; sending copies of Notice of Action to parents and/or DPSS; clerical support with photocopying, filing, faxing, typing, mail processing; and maintaining CCRC’s eligibility list. As requested by Case Specialists, request appropriate documentation to maintain family eligibility and program compliance. Develop and maintain accurate, legible and complete written records of families’ program activity. Develop, maintain, and apply knowledge of program regulations, guidelines and funding terms and conditions, which can include Title V, funding terms and conditions, Stage 1 contract, CDE, and CCRC policies.
Provide professional customer service internally to members and externally to clients, families, and providers. Answer telephones, assist or transfer callers as expected, follow-up as needed. Provide comprehensive support and technical assistance to parents regarding childcare questions and concerns. Provide daily communication and support as required to the Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFA) Division.
High School diploma or equivalent required and 2 years of equivalent related work experience (experience in Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, or related field); or Associate’s Degree in the field of Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, Social Work, Family Studies, or related field (as approved) Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Proficiency and experience with Windows-based programs and data entry.
Some travel/business related driving required. Staff may choose any mode of transportation (driving, walking, bicycling, carpooling, etc.) to arrive to and depart from the location where attendance is required. Should a staff member choose to drive, the staff member must become an approved driver with CCRC prior to driving on behalf of CCRC. Approved drivers driving on behalf of CCRC may choose to drive a CCRC vehicle or own vehicle and must meet requirements to be an approved driver including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver’s License and receiving DMV clearance.
Hybrid. Ability to work a regular, full time schedule; overtime may be required as needed. Late shift schedule until 7 pm one Monday a month required. Work environment: Ability to work in a professional office environment.

Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) assists close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County and the entirety of San Bernardino County serving a total area of 22,500 square miles.
