Under the supervision of the Program Director, the program assistant will work closely with staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment, assist with snack distribution, data entry and collection, and conduct family outreach.Primary responsibilities:Assist the Program Director with day-to-day activities and ensure participants are supervised adequatelyWill be trained on DYCD Connect system, EZReports to ensure program data is collected and entered on timeFoster positive relationships with students and actively engage them to support their developmentParticipate in professional development and show dedication to youth development for under-resourced communitiesAccompany teaching artists on field trips with participantsWork with program staff to provide a safe environment for all studentsEstablish rapport with youth and provide mentoring and guidanceParticipate in the student registration process to completion; maintain complete folders on students (enrollment forms, field trip consent forms, etc)Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsibleOther duties as assignedQualifications:No experience necessaryCurrent college students or higherStrong interest in youth developmentExcellent interpersonal skillsEmployment dat e: ImmediatelyLocation : Brooklyn, NYAbout BCCP :The Brooklyn College Community Partnership (BCCP) is a youth development program that connects Brooklyn College to Brooklyn neighborhoods through a comprehensive range of after-school and extracurricular initiatives in under-resourced public schools and at our Brooklyn College Arts Lab (BCAL).
