Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Hannibal, MO, is seeking a Program Assistant to support the TAY & Adult Team. This role coordinates non-clinical operations, ensures timely client intake, and provides receptionist and triage services to connect clients, families, and clinicians.

The successful candidate will be organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced behavioral health setting, with opportunities for growth within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

  • Background in human services or office management.
  • Experience managing administrative duties in healthcare or social services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Organize daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for clients and team operations.
  • Act as a key communication hub between the team and clients/families, including triaging calls.
  • Participate in daily team staffing and coordinate client intake and referrals.
  • Maintain and organize client charts and ensure documentation meets organizational standards.
  • Prepare statistical and tracking reports; maintain data logs for admissions/discharges.
  • Manage office inventory, vehicle logs, and equipment maintenance.

Join our team as a TAY Adult Administrative Support Specialist, supporting our Transition-Age Youth (TAY) Adult Team. This key team member coordinates and monitors non-clinical operations for the multidisciplinary team, ensures timely and accurate client intake, and provides vital receptionist and triage services to support communication between clients, families, and clinicians. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for client-centered care and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for clients and team operations
  • Act as a key communication hub between the team and clients/families, including triaging calls
  • Participate in daily team staffing and coordinate client intake and referrals
  • Maintain and organize client charts and ensure documentation meets organizational standards
  • Prepare statistical and tracking reports; maintain data logs for admissions/discharges
  • Manage office inventory, vehicle logs, and equipment maintenance
  • Coordinate landline and cellular communications accounts
  • De-escalate symptomatic client behavior and support clients in crisis situations
  • Provide general administrative support and serve as the public-facing representative of the team
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with professionalism
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
  • Education or experience in human services, office management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to manage administrative duties in a healthcare or social services setting
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
