Job Description And Duties

Under the general direction of the Program Manager, executive leadership, the Program and Project Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, and oversees complex programs and projects that support the CPUC's strategic priorities. The incumbent supervises professional staff, manages program operations, develops policies and procedures, monitors budgets and contracts, and ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and departmental policies.

The Program and Project Supervisor provides leadership in strategic planning, risk management, performance management, and continuous process improvement while fostering collaboration across divisions and with external stakeholders. The position serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing policy recommendations, data-driven analysis, and innovative solutions to complex organizational challenges.

Typical Work Environment:
  • The incumbent works in a professional office or hybrid environment, frequently leading meetings, coordinating cross-functional teams, preparing executive-level reports, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences, site visits, or training.
