Jhpiego is seeking a Program and Data Coordinator – TB Tobacco to lead data collection, validation, and reporting for the Integrated TB–Tobacco program. You will develop dashboards and analytical reports, monitor performance, and ensure timely, compliant data submissions from district teams.

The role requires strong MS Excel and Power BI skills, plus the ability to coordinate with government counterparts and field staff. Travel within states is expected.

About The Program

Jhpiego provides strategic technical assistance to the Government of India's National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) to accelerate TB elimination through health systems strengthening, implementation research, digital innovations, and evidence-based interventions. Working closely with the Central TB Division (CTD), State TB Cells, the National Health Mission (NHM), and development partners, Jhpiego supports the delivery of high-quality, people-centered TB services across the continuum of care. The program implements several national and multi-state initiatives, including the Integrated TB–Tobacco Screening and Referral Program, an innovative initiative that integrates tuberculosis screening with tobacco control and cessation services across community and institutional platforms. The program strengthens collaboration between the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP), National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP), National Program for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD), National Oral Health Program (NOHP), and the National Health Mission (NHM) to establish an integrated screening, referral, and follow-up system. Through digital health solutions, blended learning approaches, capacity building, supportive supervision, and strengthened referral pathways, the program aims to improve early TB detection among tobacco users and other high-risk populations while generating scalable evidence to strengthen integrated service delivery within the public health system.

About The Position

The Program and Data Coordinator – TB Tobacco will play a key role in supporting the implementation, monitoring, and performance management of the Integrated TB–Tobacco Screening and Referral Program. The position will primarily be responsible for managing program data, monitoring project performance, ensuring data quality, developing dashboards and analytical reports, and generating evidence to support data-driven decision-making. The incumbent will coordinate with state and district program teams to strengthen data collection, validation, reporting, and utilization while ensuring compliance with Jhpiego, donor, and Government of India reporting requirements. In addition to data management responsibilities, the Program and Data Coordinator will provide programmatic support for planning, coordination, and monitoring of project activities, including review meetings, training, supportive supervision, and stakeholder engagement. The position will work closely with technical, monitoring and evaluation, and operations teams, as well as government counterparts, to ensure timely implementation, effective tracking of project deliverables, and documentation of program achievements, lessons learned, and best practices. The incumbent should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with demonstrated experience in data management, program monitoring, and public health program implementation.

Responsibilities
Data Management, Monitoring, and Reporting
  • Lead the collection, compilation, validation, analysis, and reporting of program data from project districts, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Manage and maintain project databases, dashboards, trackers, and Management Information Systems (MIS) to monitor program performance and key indicators.
  • Monitor data generated through the TB Mukt Bharat Application, referral systems, Learning Management System (LMS), and other digital platforms, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Conduct routine data quality assessments (DQAs), data validation exercises, and data reconciliation with source documents and government reporting systems.
  • Develop automated dashboards, analytical reports, scorecards, and visualizations to support evidence-based decision-making and program reviews.
  • Track project indicators, milestones, and deliverables against approved work plans and identify implementation gaps requiring corrective action.
  • Support monitoring of TB screening, tobacco screening, referral completion, diagnostic testing, treatment initiation, and follow-up indicators.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and donor reports, ensuring high-quality data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of program results.
  • Coordinate data compilation and reporting from field teams, ensuring timely submission of programmatic and monitoring reports.
  • Support integration of project data with relevant government information systems, including Nikshay and other approved digital platforms, as applicable.
  • Generate periodic performance summaries and district-level analyses to support program reviews and planning.
  • Maintain project documentation, databases, reporting templates, indicator definitions, and data management protocols.
  • Support operational research, assessments, surveys, and data analysis for documentation of project outcomes, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Jhpiego, donor, and Government of India data management, confidentiality, and reporting requirements.
Program Coordination
  • Support planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities in collaboration with state and district program teams.
  • Coordinate with technical, monitoring and evaluation, and operations teams to facilitate smooth implementation of project activities.
  • Support organization of trainings, review meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations, including preparation of agendas, presentations, minutes, and action trackers.
  • Assist in monitoring implementation progress against approved work plans and follow up on key action points with field teams.
  • Support documentation of implementation experiences, success stories, case studies, and best practices for knowledge management and donor reporting.
  • Liaise with government counterparts and implementing partners for routine program coordination and information sharing.
  • Undertake any other programmatic or data-related responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to support successful implementation of the TB–Tobacco project.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s in Social Work/ MA/ M.Com/ PG Diploma/ MSc/ Statistics or related fields.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in public health program implementation, coordination, monitoring, data management and analytics.
  • Experience working with NTEP or another large-scale government health program at state, district, or regional level is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder coordination, field implementation, supportive supervision, referral tracking, and preparation of program reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection, cleaning, validation, analysis, reporting systems, dashboards, or health management information systems.
  • Experience working with Government of India, National TB Elimination Program (NTEP), international NGOs, donor-funded projects, or multilateral agencies will be highly desirable.
Skills And Competencies
  • Strong understanding of public health program implementation, preferably TB case detection, referral, notification, and treatment-linkage processes under NTEP.
  • Strong program coordination, field implementation, stakeholder engagement, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong data management and analytical capability with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of digital reporting platforms.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar dashboard and visualization tools will be preferred.
  • Ability to interpret program data and translate findings into practical recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, datasets, and timelines independently and collaboratively.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi; proficiency in the relevant state language is preferred.
  • Willingness to undertake regular travel within assigned states and districts, as required by the project.
