Job summary

City of San Antonio is seeking an analyst to examine operations, processes, and systems for a city department program. Under direction you will gather data, evaluate performance metrics, and assist in delivering services efficiently.

This unclassified, at-will position works at one of the comprehensive senior center locations with flexible hours, typically 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday. A Bachelor's degree is required and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, interpret, and evaluate program data for performance metrics.
  • Communicate program guidelines and city policies to stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with community and partner organizations.
  • Assist in managing budgets and resources to meet scope and budget.
  • Monitor compliance with contracts and grants requirements.
  • Identify operational and technical needs and requirements.
  • Support implementation of program operations and services.
  • Participate in community outreach to raise awareness and participation.
  • Coordinate with department and city staff on program needs.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations on program plans and metrics.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Job description

Under direction, analyzes and evaluates the operations, processes, and systems related to a specific City or department program. Performs variety of professional tasks in support of program operations and assists in delivering services efficiently and effectively. Exercises no supervision.

This position is an "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

Work Location

Will be assigned to One (1) of the Twelve (12) City of San Antonio Comprehensive Senior Center locations.

Work Hours

Shifts will vary within operating hours: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week.

  • Assists in gathering, interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating program data related to performance metrics and compliance with established rules and regulations.
  • Assists with interpreting and communicating program guidelines and related City policies and procedures.
  • Maintains relationships with community and partner organizations regarding program initiatives.
  • Assists in managing budgets and resources to ensure that program meets scope, guidelines, and budget.
  • Monitors compliance with established program requirements associated with contracts and/or grants.
  • Assists in identifying and prioritizing operational and technical needs and requirements.
  • Assists with implementing program operations, initiatives, and services.
  • Participates in community outreach to ensure awareness and participation in programs.
  • Assists in coordinating with relevant department and city staff regarding program needs.
  • Assists in the preparation of written reports, summaries, and presentations on program plans and performance metrics.
  • Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience working with Senior community members
  • Experience working in a supervisory or managerial role
Applicant Information
  • Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
